KAJANG, SELANGOR
PROPOSED TOD KAJANG
2014
The scheme was submitted through an invited design competition of Transit Oriented Development (TOD) project on the 21 acre piece of land in Kajang Selangor.
Our proposal evolved around the creation of total vehicle-free environment by forming an elevated pedestrian thoroughfare for the entire site. The commercial blocks are build-up from the formation of pedestrian main trunks and the sub-division of commercial avenues at the main boulevard level. The main boulevard is nicely positioned to be at the same level with MRT station entry point creating seamless pedestrian flow between the two.
All services, vehicular networks, parking space, bus, taxis drop-off & pick up points are carefully organized at the podium block and ground level only to be connected via lift/escalator glass tubes and dedicated service shaft.
