PROPOSED RTS JOHOR BAHRU (MALAYSIA) - WOODLANDS (SINGAPORE)

Rapit Transit System (RTS) Link connecting JB Sentral in Johor Bahru, Malaysia and a station in the vicinity of Republic Polytechnic in Woodlands, Singapore.

The RTS will provide double tracks shuttle link of approximately 4km length serving 2 stations at both end, Woodlands, Singapore and Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

For economy of scale, the shuttle link system shall leverage on Singapore’s proposed Thomson Line system and depot. This RTS Link is to be convenient and cost effective system that is well integrated with transport services in both Woodlands, Singapore and Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

The proposed RTS Link shall have a co-located Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) facility in Woodlands, Singapore and Johor Bahru, Malaysia , so that commuters need to clear immigration only once from each way of travel.

Monosist acts as a specialist-consultant to the main consultant (T.R Hamzah & Yeang Sdn Bhd) in preparing the schematic design report for the bid stage competition.
