A masterplan accommodating mixed-used development is being developed some 3 km to the west of Masjidil Haram. A study is carried out to provide constant connectivity between the development and the Masjidil Haram.

The primary role of this proposed monorail is to serve the development’s connectivity to the Masjidil-Haram. Thus, the objective of this study is to enable the stakeholders of the company to make informed decisions on all aspects of the technical feasibility and its associated costs in the implementation of this monorail transit system.

The study provides observatory findings to form a base for moving forward to the next stage viz. Preliminary Engineering Studies (PES).  In this report, data findings, obstacles, solutions, options, and cost estimation were compiled and submitted to provide direction and the ‘Way Forward’ of the project development.
