Noor Zakhairi (Zak)  studied Mechanical Engineering at Wolverhampton Polytechnic, United Kingdom and graduated in 1981.  He started his career with Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) as Rolling Stock maintenance Engineer and left the company in 1997 to resume his new role in total turnkey solution with Express Rail Link (ERL).  His experience in rail projects cover across multiple divisions from rolling stock maintenance, system interface, depot equipments and rail project planning. He then expanding his capacity in rail industry by joining KL Monorail System Sdn Bhd where he responsible for the design and procurement of Depot Equipments and layout planning.  He extent his pursuits in railway engineering by joining some other major national rail projects  such as the construction of North South Double Tracking, Fleet Expansion of Bombardier for Kelana Jaya Line, Fleet Expansion of KL Monorail  System and other rail studies local and abroad.
